Contest Details
Global Exchange will award one People’s Choice honoree in 2010. The People’s Choice honoree will receive $1,000 in honor of their work and will be recognized at this year’s Human Rights Awards gala celebration on May 27, 2010 at Bimbo’s 365 Club in San Francisco.

Contest Requirements
A People’s Choice Honoree Selection Committee, made up of Global Exchange staff, board members and selected Global Exchange allies, will meet after the closing of the nomination and voting period to review each nomination. Selection of the final honoree will be based on the following core criteria:
- The number of votes from the public each candidate receives;
- Evidence of contribution to human rights or justice related to each area of focus; and
- Demonstration that the People’s Choice honor will strengthen and advance the nominee’s efforts and work
